To Be Alone

Your whisper steals along          the edges of my thoughts There is no sound And yet I hear everything I know you’re there I can touch you with my mind although          you’re far away I see my true self in your love I am beautiful from the inside In redirection of my soul I mirror you Your touch sets me on fire I fan the flame Is it just smoke? This void tortures me I am shackled All alone

Your heartbeat pounds against          the roaring of my blood There is no touch And yet I feel everything I know you’re there You are always on my mind now         even when I’m empty I don’t have to pretend It’s like a movie in my head With false memories I’ve never had I conjure you Your scent invades my senses I swoon from it But where are you?
