Dear Margot. Don't you dare let that person's comments make you compromise yourself. You know the truth of your intentions; they can only guess from their perspective.
I remember feeling the surprise of how your generous embrace was given so freely, and it's not the norm (sadly) so I wasn't sure what to make of it at first. But I learned how genuine it is. And that's the important thing: YOU keep being genuine. If you need to say hard things, I know it's uncomfortable for you but I also know that you WILL. And you are allowed to listen to yourself to know when people need to be told the challenging thing, just as you know to tell them the affirming thing.
But you are also always ready with praise and encouragement, and that's something I would never want you to lose. If you did, what a sad day for all of us. Understand?

Always my champion, Sarah. It is so very validating to be appreciated for who I am. Thank you. <3
